On February 9 H-E-B and Communities In Schools of San Antonio partnered for the first ever Be My Valentine Family Dance.  The free event took place Thursday evening at the La Villita Assembly Building. 

Over 350 students and their families from elementary schools served by CIS-SA enjoyed music, food, dancing and lots of family fun.  There were appearances by no less than 5 famous mascots – H-E Buddy, the Rampage’s T-Bone, UTSA’s Rowdy Roadrunner, the Missions’ Ballepeño, and the Spurs Coyote – who caused plenty of pandemonium with their impressive dance moves.  Guests also had the chance to win gift baskets filled with goodies and a fabulous trip for a family of four.  

Children, parents and CIS-SA staff had a blast!
