Kim Sayers, LPC-S

I have work for Communities in Schools of San Antonio for over 13 years and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. I have over 11 years of counseling experience, including over four years of experience in supervising LPC Associates. All of my work has been with at-risk youth and their families and has included assisting teachers and administrators in how to appropriately respond to their student’s unique and challenging behavioral and emotional needs. I am well versed in Trauma-Informed practices and am a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner through the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University. I also have specialized training in Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques. I have been conducting Ethics trainings internally with CIS-SA staff for over four years and understand the unique ethical issues that counselors must face, but especially in a school-setting.
